Our Vision

Winchester Mencap seeks to enable people with a learning disability to live fulfilled lives as independently as possible and to work towards opportunities for people with learning disabilities to choose where they live, work, and socialise so that they can live their lives as they prefer.

The Society aims to raise the profile of people with a learning disability so that their needs are identified and their gifts appreciated and to work to change attitudes so that they are accepted and included as far as possible in taking a full part in the local community.

We are a local independent charity affiliated to Royal Mencap and run by volunteers. We provide help, information and services. We invite anyone with a learning disability and their families and friends to become members. Membership is free, but donations are very welcome.
